Remembrance Day parades are held across the borough and the country, to remember and honour the service and sacrifice of those who have protected our country's way of life.

A field of poppies

The parades serve as a public acknowledgment of the immense loss experienced in wars and conflicts, and they honor the dead, celebrate the peace and freedoms enjoyed today, and acknowledge shared history.

They are held on the second Sunday of November closest to the end of the World War 1, which was 11th November, which is known as Armistice Day.

In Bulkington, the parade will start 10:10am - taking the route of form the Bulkington's Workingmen's Club, left in Chequer Street; left into Leicester Street; left into School Road and then right into St James Church for the Service follwed by wreath laying. After the service the parade retraces it's route back to the Bulkington's Workingmen's Club.

During the parade times - we will temporarily close roads on the route - please be patient and we'll reopen them as soon as it's safe to do so.
