Nuneaton BID (Business Improvement District)
Nuneaton BID (Business Improvement District) is a business-led and business-funded organisation established to support the long-term vitality and economic success of Nuneaton town centre. It brings together local businesses to invest collectively in projects and services that enhance the town centre beyond those normally provided by the local authority.
Following a successful ballot in March 2024, town centre businesses voted to establish a BID for an initial five-year term (2024–2029). The BID is governed by a board of local business representatives and works in partnership with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Warwickshire County Council, Warwickshire Police and other stakeholders to deliver improvements that benefit businesses, residents and visitors.
The BID's priorities include:
- Improving safety and security within the town centre.
- Enhancing the cleanliness and appearance of public spaces.
- Promoting Nuneaton as a destination through marketing campaigns and town centre events.
- Increasing footfall and supporting local economic growth.
- Providing support, networking and cost-saving opportunities for businesses.
- Contributing to placemaking and regeneration initiatives that strengthen the town centre's attractiveness and competitiveness.
