"This key milestone in seeking public feedback takes us another step forward to developing the Bedworth site, along with Pingles and Top Farm options."

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council move another step closer to developing a new Bedworth Leisure Centre, with the latest Cabinet report detailing overall positive feedback received following it’s recent Public Consultation exercise for Leisure and Parks proposals.

During the month of February, public consultation was undertaken with 1799 online surveys completed, social media posts reaching 30361 people, and post engagement totalling 7080.

The feedback received will now be reviewed in more detail and considered for the next stages of work and its project management development.

Further robust financial modelling and options to fund the facility at Bedworth will now be undertaken in more detail.

The Leader of the Council, Councillor Julie Jackson said:

“I am really pleased that the Public took the opportunity to ‘Have their Say’ during the consultation exercise and look forward to reviewing the feedback in further detail. This exciting project has been in development for several years, since we adopted the Leisure Strategy and its integral proposals to improve and develop key leisure facilities within the Borough. This key milestone in seeking public feedback takes us another step forward to developing the Bedworth site, along with Pingles and Top Farm options”.
