We are delighted to announce that the registration for the Nuneaton 5K Fun Run that will be taking place on Sunday 8 March is now open!

The race will start at the Pingles Leisure Centre track at 10.30am, and the rest of the route will be around the beautiful setting of Riversley Park. Participants can register online or at the Pingles track on the day free of charge from 9.00am.

Everyone Active are sponsoring the race and the Mayor, Cllr June Tandy, will be in attendance to give a speech as well as distributing certificates and goodies at the end of the event.

The Fun Run is open to everyone of all abilities but children aged 11 or under must be accompanied by an adult whilst running. Runners aged 12 – 17 will also need consent from their parent/guardian prior to taking part.

The race is designed to be lots of fun with no time pressures or competition against super-fit athletes. We encourage families to attend as it’s an event that everyone can enjoy, and all children that complete the race will get a free t - shirt!

Cllr Ian Lloyd, Portfolio Holder for Arts and Leisure said:

“We are very excited for this year’s 5K Fun Run which is always a great day for the whole family. All runner entry fees will go to the Mayor’s charity, Serenity Gardens at George Eliot Hospital, and it’s a chance for the Borough to have fun and get active together!”

Simon Fearn, Area Manager at Everyone Active said:

“We’re thrilled to be supporting this fantastic 5K Fun Run which is set to see runners of all ages and abilities have a brilliant time while staying active. We’re thoroughly looking forward to this family focused event which will be full of community spirit.”

Entry fee is £5.00 for adults, £1.00 for 12-17 year olds and children aged 11 and under go FREE.
