NBBC to Seek Feedback on a Draft Long-Term Vision for the Physical and Economic Development of Bedworth Town Centre

Published on Wednesday, 6th November 2019

A report is being presented to the Borough Council’s Cabinet at their meeting on Wednesday 13 November seeking approval for a public consultation exercise to take place on a draft Bedworth Town Centre

The Visioning Document aims to set out in a succinct and easy to understand way, a comprehensive and long-term vision for the future physical and economic development of Bedworth town centre.

Brent Davis, Executive Director – Operations said:

“I am really pleased that Cabinet will have the opportunity next week to look in detail at the draft Visioning Document that has been produced for Bedworth Town Centre and consider inviting the public and other stakeholders to comment on it during an 8 week period, ensuring the future vitality of Bedworth Town Centre is a key priority for the Council.

“The draft Visioning Document that has been produced sets out a plan to achieve this, but, we really want to understand what our residents and other stakeholders think of the draft vision and amend it appropriately to ensure that it is as comprehensive as possible. We will then use the final version of the Bedworth Town Centre Visioning Document to support our application to Round 2 of the Government’s Future High Streets Fund that we will be making once the Government announces the timeframes for this in the New Year.”

Seeking the views of the public and other stakeholders, and then appropriately incorporating the feedback received into a final version of the document is very important.
