Saturday 17 August Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery 11am – 4pm

Take a journey to Japan with our Museum Access Assistants this Saturday!

Focusing on objects with a Japanese provenance, this ‘Hands On’ session will highlight examples of Satsuma ware, lacquerware, domestic and personal accessories from the museum collections. We will also be featuring a star artefact, an unusual clockwork item from the home that exhibits inventive craftsmanship.

Marvel at the making skills and decorative beauty exemplified by these compelling objects from Japan!

Hands on History sessions are free and there is no need to book. Drop in between 11am to 4pm in the Picture Gallery.

Councillor Ian Lloyd, Portfolio Holder for Arts & Leisure stated:

“The Museum’s Hands on History sessions create the perfect opportunity to get out and explore the Museum & Art Gallery. The event is free and there is also the opportunity to view the latest exhibitions on display. Everyone will find something to interest them.”
