Kick start the weekend and pop over to George Eliot Gardens this evening for the launch of Street Eats & Beats - a new monthly event!

The occasion promises to be a family friendly gathering which will bring a chilled vibe to the town.

Running from 5.30 to 10.30pm the event will play host to some of the best street food vendors in the UK and will include quirky bars, local musicians, a cocktail trailer and a live DJ!

Event organiser, Abbey Christer-King, said:

"We knew there was nothing like this in Nuneaton and we want to create something everyone can enjoy.

"We want to attract the work crowd on their way home as well as families, it is a safe environment, we will have security at the gate, patio heaters, seating and we just want to create a nice place for people to come.

"We will have some of the best street food chefs in the country bringing a variety of food, we will have DJs and bands. We want to create a social meeting space for everyone, including families with children. We want to bring a really chilled vibe."

Cllr Julie Jackson, Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council said:

“It is wonderful to see yet another great family event starting in Nuneaton! With the addition of the fantastic Nuneaton Food Festival too, this occasion really brings a boost to the town centre and is a great way for families to get out together and enjoy some amazing street food and music in a safe and welcoming environment.”
