The Museum is now posting images of its collections, sharing local history and flagging up its events programming on the site https://www.instagram.com/nuneatonmuseum/. Instagram also provides an opportunity for the museum to join in with national and international themes such as anniversaries of events and initiatives like World Oceans Day.  The museum already has its own Facebook page and a blog, “Behind the scenes at the museum” which reveals the work which goes into the museum’s programme.  Instagram now provides an opportunity to share images of the collections with more people than ever before.

Portfolio Holder for Arts and Leisure, Councillor Ian Lloyd says;

“It’s great to be able to use a platform like Instagram to share more of the museum’s collections with people.  We have such a rich history as a borough and it’s great that this can be appreciated not only locally but across the globe.”
