Providing the blueprint for development in the Borough for decades to come.
Following the Borough Plan examination hearings on the 19 February, the government Inspector has decided to allow a further period of 3 weeks (to the 12th March) for participants of the examination to comment on some information tabled at the hearing. The information which will be commented on deals with the alternative highways access to the Woodlands strategic housing site.
Following this we will await the Inspectors final report before the plan is considered by Cabinet and Full Council at the earliest available meeting.
Cllr Neil Phillips (Planning and Development) said:
“ I am pleased that the Inspector is now satisfied that he has an understanding of public opinion on the main modifications, the sites at Hawkesbury and the Woodlands. We now wait for the inspector to finalise his report.
“The Borough plan has been carefully prepared and sets out development for our local area. Thank you to everyone who has replied to the consultation and attended the examination.”
