Published on Monday, 9th July 2018

NBB Invest gives you a starter for ten, but there are so many more reasons why Nuneaton and Bedworth is such a great place for business.

Friday’s annual business breakfast meeting was filled with inspirational stories and stimulating discussions, with local business leaders meeting once again to share expertise and take advantage of support from leading local enterprises.

Proving as popular as last year’s inaugural event, this year’s meeting at Ambleside Sports Club was fully booked with over a hundred representatives from a wide spectrum of businesses.

Paul Carvell, Managing Director of the SFB Group assisted the Borough Council and the Growth Hub in hosting the event. Speakers included Chris Egan, programme manager overseeing the Warwickshire leg of the Men’s OVO Tour of Britain (soon to visit Nuneaton), Rob Coleman, Managing Director of Indigo Fitness, who showcased his wonderful business expansion story, Joanne Williams, owner of award-winning Joco Interiors, who spoke passionately about the growth of her business within the Borough, Ian Lloyd, Deputy Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Craig Humphrey, Managing Director of Coventry and Warwickshire Growth Hub.

Julie Jackson, Leader of Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council also spoke about future plans and priorities for the Borough. She said:

“The event has once again proven to be a roaring success and continues to be a valuable networking aid which is packed full of essential advice, support and information for local enterprises.

“The occasion provides a brilliant platform to showcase growing local opportunities available to businesses and once again highlights the multitude of reasons to invest in our Borough.

“I would like to thank all involved in creating what is now a key event in the diary for local businesses”

Gary Thyeson, Account Manager at the CWLEP Growth Hub, echoed Julie Jackson saying the event had once again been a huge success.

Gary said:

“This event is all about making sure that businesses in Nuneaton and Bedworth are aware of the assistance that is available to them.

“We want our businesses to grow and create a stronger local economy whatever sector they are involved in and whether they are an SME or a global giant.

“This event enables the people behind those businesses to get together, learn more about each other and make new contacts.

“The CWLEP Growth Hub is here to assist all businesses from start-ups to long established businesses, whether that is giving advice on applying for grants or searching for new premises.”
