Adverse weather conditions impacts Nuneaton Street Market
Published on Friday, 2nd March 2018
Nuneaton’s regular street market has been cancelled for tomorrow, Saturday 3rd March due to adverse weather conditions.
The Met Office had issued a weather warnings of approaching snow and ice, which has since brought heavy snow to the area, settling on local roads and the pedestrian area of Nuneaton town centre.
“The adverse weather has impacted the regular street market in Nuneaton, along with many others locally and across the country.
“It is always unfortunate when weather conditions prevent our market traders from operating as normal, but public safety is absolutely paramount. Understandably shoppers will be disappointed, but I am sure that most people will share our concerns relating to public safety and that of market traders travelling long distances in the early hour of the morning to trade on our market.”
Said, Jonathan White Head of Town Centres and Marketing of the Council.
