Changes to how Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council advertise properties - coming soon!
Published on Thursday, 25th January 2018
The Borough Council is improving services for its tenants and prospective tenants with major enhancements to the online system for managing housing services.
As part of this change, the Council will move to a new choice-based lettings system.
From midnight on Monday 12 February 2018, the HomeHunt website will cease full operation - it will not be possible for new applicants to register, for existing applicants to register changes of circumstances or for anyone to place any expressions of interest on properties.
The Council will be placing the last adverts on HomeHunt on Tuesday 6 February 2018.
All applicants who are registered with HomeHunt will be contacted and asked to re-register on www.NBBCHomes.org.uk which will be available via our NBBC website link as normal. People will be given 14 days to register and Council staff will assist anyone requiring help. During this two week period, there will be no new adverts, enabling staff to transfer all applicants across from one system to the other.
The new NBBCHomes website becomes fully operational on 6 March 2018, although applicants will be able to access it to re-register from 13 February. There are no changes to our Allocation Policy or Banding as a result of this change.
Cllr Julie Jackson, portfolio holder for Housing and Communities said:
“We have redesigned our online choice-based lettings service with our customers firmly in mind - the new website is more informative and user-friendly.
“I would like to thank our Residents’ Partnership and those tenants who contributed views on the design of the new website – their input was invaluable in helping us to improve this service for all users.”
