We are holding two community events which will provide fun for all the family whilst improving two areas in the borough. Both days will follow the same itinerary:

  •     10.30 am Estate Walkabout - This gives the opportunity to look around with your Housing Officer and report any issues you may have.
  •     11.30 am Community Litter Pick - Complete a litter pick and leave your neighbourhood looking clean and tidy.
  •    12.30 pm Teddy Bears Picnic – Children can bring their favourite teddy bear and enjoy a picnic accompanied by a few sing along songs. Some snacks will be provided but please bring a plate of food.

Also there will be free face painting for all children, colouring competitions, sports and a chance to meet your Communities Team and Residents Partnership.

“I look forward to these community days and hope there is a good turnout for both. As well as building community spirit and making the areas cleaner it’s also a great way for residents in these areas to get to know the Residents Partnership who are the voice of our Tenants and Leaseholders.”

Cllr Julie Jackson, Portfolio Holder for Housing and Communities

The first event is at The Circle in Stockingford on Tuesday 22nd August and the second a week later, at Cashmore Road on Tuesday 29th August
