Residents’ Partnership on the lookout for new members
Published on Friday, 14th July 2017
As part of a recruitment drive for volunteers, Nuneaton and Bedworth Residents’ Partnership is holding a drop-in session on Tuesday 18 July between 10:30am and 12:30pm at the Newtown Centre, Newtown Road, Nuneaton.
The award-winning Partnership works closely with the Council to help shape housing services, representing tenants and leaseholders across the Borough. The drop-in session will provide the opportunity to speak informally with current panel members and find out more about the work involved.
Cllr Julie Jackson, portfolio holder for Housing and Communities said:
“Our Residents’ Partnership plays an essential role in helping us to continually improve our housing services for all tenants and leaseholders. The Partnership makes sure that the Council is held to account and that residents voices are heard.
“The drop-in session on 18 July is an ideal opportunity to find out more about the work of the Partnership and I’d urge anyone interested in having a say on housing services to go along.”
Lynne Price, Chairperson of the Residents Partnership said:
“We’re always on the lookout for new volunteers to help us with the work we do. Our Partnership is very well established and respected; the valuable role we play has recently been recognised with a long service award by the Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action group.
“Volunteering with our Residents’ Partnership is very rewarding, it’s a chance to make a real difference locally. It’s also a good opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills.”
Nominations to join the panel will be accepted until 29th August 2017. For more information or to book transport please contact Sarah, Rachel or Vicky on 024 7637 6493.
