Published on Thursday, 15th June 2017
At an extended breakfast event on Friday 30 June 2017, local business leaders will learn how Nuneaton and Bedworth is set to take advantage of some exciting new opportunities right on our doorstep. Special guest speakers include Andy Street, newly elected West Midlands Mayor, and Terry Spall, Commercial Director of national automotive giant HORIBA-MIRA.
Dennis Harvey, Leader of NBBC said:
“There are so many exciting new opportunities within the West Midlands region and we’re working with local businesses to ensure that here in the Borough, we’re in the best position to take advantage of them. As a Council we contributed significantly to getting the West Midlands Combined Authority off the ground and we were the first Warwickshire authority to sign up.
“I’m really looking forward to the event and catching up with some of our local business leaders who already make the Borough a fantastic place to do business.”
The breakfast meeting at Nuneaton Golf Club has been organised by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council with support from Warwickshire County Council and the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub.
In addition to hearing the presentations by key local players, those attending will have the opportunity to visit the business support exhibition which showcases the amazing range of free services and resources that are available to local businesses; agencies will be offering valuable free advice across marketing, finance, skills support, export and more. Exhibitors include the Department for International Trade, Coventry and Warwickshire Reinvestment Trust (CWRT), the Federation of Small Businesses, the Chamber of Commerce and the University of Warwickshire Science Park (UWSP).
Gareth Edwards of CWLEP Growth Hub said:
“Nuneaton and Bedworth is absolutely jam-packed with opportunities for business growth and its exceptional location, competitive cost base and powerful strategic partnerships make it particularly attractive to investors and developers.
“We’re working with local businesses to make sure that they’re in a position to maximise the fantastic opportunities available to them here in the Borough”
