Sprucing up Nuneaton

Nuneaton town centre is getting its sparkle back with a spring clean organised by the Borough Council.
NBBC has commissioned the specialist professional services of Ramora Limited to deep cleanse the pavement and remove chewing gum using state-of-the-art high press, high temperature machines. No chemicals will be used in the process.
The work is being carried out as part of NBBC’s £200,000 investment in town centre improvements.
Alan Franks, Managing Director of NBBC said:
“First impressions matter and we want show Nuneaton town centre in its full glory. It’s important that shoppers, visitors and workers all have a positive experience when coming into town.
“Resources are limited so we are focusing our spending on areas that will have the biggest impact and obviously sparkling pavements create an immediate good impression, completely lifting the look of the town.”
Other town centre improvements in the pipeline include free Wi-Fi and footfall counting, new market stalls and a town centre website to attract visitors and promote businesses. Consideration is being given to other improvements that could be made to the street scene, such as the replacement of damaged and unsightly waste bins and planters.
Further details will be announced once plans have been agreed.
