Six warrants obtained for forced entry to Council properties
Published on Friday, 28th April 2017
At a court hearing on 25 April, NBBC successfully obtained warrants to gain entry to six council properties for gas servicing. The warrants will be enforced on 3 May.
The action comes after months of attempted access by the Council’s gas servicing contractor, Sure. Despite being served with Environmental Protection Act Notices, the tenants concerned failed to allow access or respond to letters; these individuals will now incur costs as a result.
Tenants are encouraged to cooperate with requests for access by Sure and if anyone wishes to book an appointment please call 024 7637 6344.
“Safety is the key issue here, it’s a last resort to go to court but in these cases we had no other option”.
Said Rob Askew, Prinicipal Building Surveyor
