Borough residents are reminded that if they wish to vote in the local elections on May 4, 2017, then they need to be registered.
Most people in Nuneaton and Bedworth are already on the electoral register but if you are not registered and would like to cast your vote on 4 May then the deadline for applying to vote is tomorrow 13 April. You can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
Local elections are taking place for Warwickshire County Council in the following Divisions:
Arbury, Attleborough, Bedworth Central, Bedworth East, Bedworth North, Bedworth West, Bulkington and Whitestone, Camp Hill, Galley Common, Nuneaton Abbey, Nuneaton East, Stockingford and Weddington.
A Borough Council by-election for the Bulkington Ward is also taking place.
Alan Franks, Managing Director of NBBC said: “We’d like to remind people that tomorrow, 13 April is the last date to apply to vote in the elections on 4 May. If you haven’t registered yet please do so, it’s quick and easy to register online. You can find more information on our website.”
Polling cards have been sent to registered voters across the Borough which tell people which polling station they must cast their vote. A quick reminder that local polling stations may have changed as a result of a County Council Boundary Review; we suggest that you refer to your poll card or check your postcode on the Council’s website https://www.nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk/directory/16/find_my_polling_station
Applications for new postal votes need to be with the Council by 18 April.
