Wellbeing stalls on Nuneaton Market day

Published on Monday, 9th October 2023

Wellbeing stalls will bring a winter boost for shoppers in Nuneaton town centre on market day this Wednesday (11 October).

The Communities Team at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has organised for a range of community organisations to set up shop for the day in Ropewalk Shopping Centre and on a couple of market stalls.

The timely theme, which follows World Mental Health Day on 10 October, will ensure there is some handy winter wellbeing advice on hand for passers by and shoppers on the day.

Organisations attending include Coventry and Warwickshire Recovery Academy, Sky Blues in the Community, Think Active, Breast Cancer screening, Dear Life, CGL and the Ask Katie hygiene bank.

The stalls will be found inside Ropewalk and on the market in Ropewalk Circle near the former Co-op building.

Cllr Julian Gutteridge, Portfolio Holder for Health Environment, said:

"A number of local organisations will be in town that day with advice and information for people.

"We wanted to reach out in a different way at this time of year, and with World Mental Health Day on Tuesday, we felt this was a good time to do this."
