Published on Thursday, 17th August 2023

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at the Museum? Book one of our special store tours on Saturday, 9 September, to find out.
To celebrate Heritage Open Weekend, visitors to Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery will be able to explore the collection stores.
They can discover how artefacts are stored and cared for and see some unique objects that are not usually on display.
Tours will run at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm and last approximately 30 minutes.
Places are limited, so please email museum@nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk or call 024 7637 6158 to book your place.
There will also be the opportunity to create bold and vivid artworks with local artist Alisha Miller throughout the day.
Alisha will be running a drop-in workshop between 10:30am and 4pm, making art inspired by our urban and natural landscapes.
There is no need to book, please just come along and join in and all the activities are free, though donations are welcome.
Cllr Sue Markham, Portfolio Holder for Public Services, said:
“Heritage Open Weekend is a great opportunity to celebrate local history, see hidden places and try some new experiences.”
While at the Museum, why not also check out our temporary exhibitions?
Our "Wiv Luv Larry'' exhibition celebrates entertainer Larry Grayson on what would have been his 100th birthday.
There is still time to see the Coventry and Warwickshire’s Society of Artists exhibition showcasing a variety of local artworks. You can also explore our 'In Sickness and in Health' showing.
Visit our Museum & Art Gallery webpage for opening hours.
