How have you been spending your money this Easter holiday? Join us on Saturday, 15 April, at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery’s ‘Hands on History’ event based on the theme of spending money.
We will be exploring objects from the collection that are examples of currency. You can discover paper bank notes, coins and coupons, as well as more unusual items including shells and beads.
Our ‘Hands on History’ events represent a unique opportunity to handle some of the wonderful artefacts from the Museum’s collections.
The sessions are free and there is no need to book. Drop in anytime between 11am and 4pm in the Picture Gallery.
Cllr Sue Markham, Portfolio Holder for Public Services at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said:
“The Museum’s handling sessions enable visitors to feel the excitement of real history in their hands.”
While at the Museum, why not also check out our temporary exhibitions? The ‘Festival of Arts’ Exhibition celebrates local art talent and includes work ranging from school children to adults.
‘Where Did You Get That Hat?’ is a fun and interactive exhibition exploring the diverse range of headwear in the Museum’s collection.
