Death of former Borough Councillor Danny Aldington

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has been informed of the sad death of former Councillor Danny Aldington.
Mr Aldington, aged 47, collapsed while playing walking football at Coleshill at the weekend and died later in hospital.
He was a former Labour councillor and held the position of Portfolio Holder for Planning and Development.
The father of two represented the Bedworth Heath ward from 2010 until 2018.
Tribute was paid to him at the council chamber during the annual budget setting meeting with a minute's silence held in his honour.
Cllr Kris Wilson, Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council said:
“I’m saddened to hear of the loss of former Councillor Aldington, and my thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
"It is important to remember that there is a family missing their husband and father at this time and that we wish the best through this very difficult time.”
