Saturday, 3 December 2022, Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery. 11am until 3:30pm.

Get creative at our ‘Make and Take’ winter craft session this Saturday. Come along to make and decorate a festive tree ornament to take home with you.

Our ‘Make and Take’ activities are free and there is no need to book. Just drop in anytime from 11am to 3:30pm in the Picture Gallery at the Museum.

Cllr Sue Markham, Portfolio Holder for Public Services at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said:

"What a great opportunity for any visitors to the Nuneaton Museum this Saturday, not only seeing the exhibitions on display but also to take part in this 'Make and Take' winter craft session between 11am and 3:30pm, make and display your original decoration at home.''

While at the Museum, why not also check out our temporary exhibitions. ‘Mid Century Mastery’ is now on display until 10 December and this explores the work of Edward Hellawell, former Head of Nuneaton Art School.

There is the chance to view again a smaller version of our 2020 Nuneaton Blitz exhibition which gives a vivid picture of the bombing in Nuneaton during the Second World War. Do not forget our newest exhibition ‘Near Belonging’ which features extraordinary historic photographs found by chance by builders, alongside a touching film that explores them.

Our next ‘Hands on History’ session, ‘A Festive Gift’, takes place on Saturday, 17 December. Come along to explore festive presents of the past from the Museum’s object collection and these include gifts, cards, and other winter surprises. Visit us from 11am to 3.30pm.
