Over the last few months, the Council has been holding sessions to help its residents with the rising cost of living.

Following very successful feedback, the Council will be holding several more sessions, including ones for the public.

Conducted by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council’s Housing team, the events are supported by community development workers from Warwickshire County Council as well as partners Act on Energy and Severn Trent Water.

In addition to providing help with energy, water use and bills, the events also offer support with a huge range of issues such as energy rebate and pension credit applications, benefit checks and housing benefit.

Public sessions will be held on the following dates:

  • Bedworth Outdoor Market, 28 October 9:30am to 2:30pm
  • Wembrook Community Centre, Raveloe Drive, Nuneaton, 2 November 9:30am to 1pm
  • The Harbour Centre, Bedworth, 4 November 10am to 3pm
  • HTC Hub, Hill Top, Nuneaton, 18 November 10am to 1pm
  • Nuneaton Market, 23 November 9am to 2pm

Please feel free to come down and speak to our friendly team about any issues that are troubling you in relation to the cost of living.

Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Housing and Communities, Cllr Clare Golby, said:

“We're all aware of the issues with cost of living and the feedback we've had from residents is that these advisory sessions have really helped. That's why we've taken steps to extend the programme.

"We are determined to reach as many of our residents as possible in ways that provide meaningful assistance to them.”
