This session is all about timekeeping, so come along and discover a range of time pieces from pocket watches to sundials, clocks to mobile phones. Visitors attending the activity are invited to handle Museum objects and find out about their uses.
And if you really like going back to the future….do not forget the clocks go back an hour at the end of October.
Our ‘Hands on History’ sessions are free and there is no need to book. Drop in anytime between 11am and 4pm in the Picture Gallery.
Portfolio Holder for Public Services, Cllr Sue Markham, said:
“The Museum’s handling sessions enable visitors to feel the excitement of real history in their hands.”
While at the Museum, why not also check out our temporary exhibitions? 'Mid Century Mastery’ comprises paintings and sculptures by Edward Hellawell, a former Head of Nuneaton Art School.
‘Shattered Silk’ by Jini Rawlings showcases mixed media and video installation with a focus on the significance of silk. There is also a chance to view again a smaller version of our 2020 Nuneaton Blitz exhibition.
