Have you ever wondered how modern appliances have made home life simpler over the years?
Join us at the Museum for this month’s Hands-on History session to explore objects that have made communication, cleaning and cooking easier. Come and compare the different ways we have phoned people, made a cup of tea and lit our homes.
Our Hands-on History activities are free and there is no need to book. Drop in anytime between 11am and 4pm on Saturday16 July in the Picture Gallery.
This week’s Museum blog provides a ‘snap-shot’ of some of the objects that you will be able to discover https://nuneatonmuseum.wordpress.com
Councillor Sue Markham, Portfolio Holder for Public Services, said:
“The Museum’s Hands on History sessions create the perfect opportunity for people to find out about history through exploring and handling of real museum objects.”
Whilst at the Museum, why not also check out our vibrant exhibitions. It’s your final chance to visit Shadows in the Sun by Anne Guest, where she explores the natural world through cyanotypes, the oldest photographic printing technique
Coventry and Warwickshire Society of Artists’ exhibition is still open and showcases a variety of artwork. Our newest exhibition, Our Sporting Life, features some of the borough’s local sporting achievements in honour of the Commonwealth Games.
