Buttermere Recreation Ground public consultation
Published on Wednesday, 15th June 2022
We invite local residents to give their views on a proposed refurbishment to Buttermere Recreation Ground in Nuneaton.
With the facilities at the ground now over 30 years old and in need of refreshment, we are looking at completely refurbishing the ground, building new play equipment, and providing much needed enhanced accessibility options.
The proposals include facilities suitable for a wide range of ages, a new picnic area and informal kickabout space as well as a wheeled sports area and landscaping with trees and wildflowers.
Funding for the refurbishment will be allocated from Section 106 monies. This type of funding is paid for by developers and is used on community infrastructure projects.
Come and find us on the 18th June from 10am until 1pm at the Recreation Ground, or participate in our online survey which is open until the 30th of June.
Councillor Julian Gutteridge, Portfolio holder for Health and Environment said:
“The recreation ground is now very dated, and this refurbishment is most definitely required. We would love to hear views on our proposals from people living near the park so please get in touch and let us know your thoughts.”
