Nuneaton and Bedworth’s new Mayor, Councillor Jeff Clarke J.P. launches his 2022 Appeal.

The local charity he aims to support throughout his year in office is Warwickshire Air Ambulance.

The critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots can be on the ground in minutes delivering lifesaving care at road traffic collisions, sports events, and industrial accidents or for medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, stroke or accidents in the home.

The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. The helicopter can fly at 185mph and carries the very latest lifesaving equipment.

Said Cllr Clarke:

“The air ambulance provides such a critical service across our county. The charity does not receive funding from the government or National Lottery for its daily missions and therefore relies entirely on voluntary donations and support from communities and business. This is why it’s so critical to help this most valuable service.

“I am delighted to be given the chance to raise money for this service through my Mayor’s Appeal.”

Warwickshire Air Ambulance’s Director of Income Generation, Donna Young said:

“On behalf of the charity, I’d like to say a huge thank you to Mayor Clarke for pledging such incredible support for our frontline service – because of support like this, we can continue being there for Warwickshire people in their hour of need."
