Queen’s Platinum Jubilee name change for Nuneaton’s ring road
Published on Wednesday, 1st June 2022

One of Nuneaton’s major roads has been re-named in honour of The Queen and her Platinum Jubilee.
Roanne Ringway, the town’s ring road, is now known as Jubilee Way to commemorate her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne.
The name change was proposed by the recently formed Civic Honours Sub-Committee of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.
The re-naming ceremony was attended by Nuneaton and Bedworth Mayor Cllr Jeff Clarke and Council Leader Cllr Kris Wilson.
Cllr Wilson said:
“HM The Queen has provided 70 long and glorious years of service to our nation, and I am pleased that as a Council we are able to have a permanent reminder of her reign.
“This is a major road in Nuneaton that thousands of people use, and it will serve as a reminder of her dedication when people use or pass by the road.”
