Building a better Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough
Published on Thursday, 17th March 2022
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has pledged to work to build a better borough for everyone who lives, works or visits the area.
The council’s ruling Cabinet has approved a plan for the next three years that sets out how the council will work to improve the borough.
The key document sets out broad themes which will guide the council in delivering its services and developing further areas of work in the months and years to come.
Set out under the broad headings ‘Live’, ‘Work’ and ‘Visit’, the themes attempt to describe the key things the council will do working with its partners
Local organisations and residents were invited to give feedback on the plan, unveiled in November, before the end of January.
Now the final document has been approved by Cabinet and will be used from now on to help guide decision making by key organisations working in the borough.
Explained Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council leader Cllr Kristofer Wilson: “We are very grateful for all the comments we received. These kind of documents are important in setting out the council’s key priorities to guide our future action and to help other organisations understand what we are aiming to do.
“We believe ‘Building a Better Borough’ is a statement of how we want to change our Borough and improve the lives of our residents. It shows our ambition to help realise the potential of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough and will guide our actions as a Council. We invite local people to now get behind this strategy and join us as we aim to work together with others to ‘build a better borough’.”
