Have your say on the design of a new neighbourhood in Arbury
Published on Thursday, 27th January 2022
We are asking residents views on the design of a new neighbourhood which consists of 1525 dwellings covering approximately 86 hectares in Arbury, Nuneaton.
The area, known as HSG2, forms part of a section within the adopted Borough Plan. The ‘Arbury Design Code’ will provide a set of guidance for developers to follow which will ensure that the houses and buildings are well-designed and fit with the character of the area.
- The Arbury Design Code public consultation will take place from Monday, 31 January 2022 to Sunday, 27 March 2022
Elements such as street character, building type and façade as well as environmental, heritage and wellbeing factors can all be influenced by the Code.
Cllr Richard Smith, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council Portfolio holder for Planning and Regulation commented:
“Please take part in this consultation. We want to ensure that we get the views of local residents on what this new upcoming development should look like.
“Help us shape the character of the buildings and streets to ensure they meet with the style of the local area and reflect what local people want.”
Hard copies of the documents are also available for inspection at Nuneaton Town Hall, Coton Road, Nuneaton, CV11 5AA, however this is by prior appointment only and can be arranged by calling 024 7637 6376.
