More business support grants available

We now are offering three grants to eligible businesses in the borough.
Assistance for businesses that are struggling as a result of the impact of the COVID crisis and that would benefit from a small capital investment to help them diversify or secure their future.
Hardship grant applications will be considered for businesses that fall within the following categories:
- Home workers
- Market Traders
- Shared Workspaces
Hardship Grant applications will be accepted for up to £5,000 from local businesses within the sectors outlined above. Grants will be award based on the application meeting the criteria outlined in the grant application and on the submission of supporting documentation and satisfactory pre-payment checks.
Available for businesses who plan to adapt their premises to make them Covid safe.
This is a scheme will cover expected or planned one-off capital costs. The maximum amount you can apply for is £15,000.
Application for the latest Business Recovery Grant Scheme
To make an application you will need to complete all required fields and provide the following supporting information:
- Estimates/quotes for all aspects of your application.
- Your most recent business bank statement.
- Summary of financial accounts for at least the last two years or if your business has been trading for less than 2 years, your most recent business plan/management accounts.
- Please do not apply until you have all of the information required.
The scheme is on a first come first serve basis with a limited budget.
These grants have been added to the Shop Front Improvement Grant. This grant provides up to £1,500 to eligible businesses towards updating their shop frontage. More details can be found in the policy.
