Festive fun returns to the Borough with Christmas Lights events!

Published on Friday, 15th October 2021

The Borough Council has confirmed arrangements for three Christmas Lights switch on events in the Borough this year.

The Borough’s Christmas Lights switch-on events will be back in full swing once again this year with fabulous food stalls and the ever-entertaining Billy Bates funfair.

After last year's events were cancelled due to the pandemic, this year, following feedback from residents, the Council has also made the decision to swap the Nuneaton town centre event from the traditional Sunday to Friday evening.

It is hoped the decision will allow more people to enjoy the festivities without the worry of work and school the following day.

Cllr Kristofer Wilson, Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, was delighted to see the return of the events. He said:

“It will be wonderful to see the return of our Borough lights events. They are always welcomed by families across the Borough and provide a magical start to the festive season. As a new Conservative administration we are determined to try and make these community events more accessible to residents.

“We very much look forward to welcoming you and your families back and hope that the changes made will mean you can relax and enjoy the fun for longer.”
