Vaccine programme at the Civic Hall extended
Published on Wednesday, 11th August 2021
The Civic Hall in Bedworth will continue to operate as a Covid-19 vaccination centre until 31 December 2021.
The extension follows the government objective to provide the Covid vaccine booster programme in the UK ahead of the winter.
The programme of entertainment events scheduled for the Civic Hall will continue to be suspended for the time being but shows will be making a return in early 2022.
Several shows and acts are already in the diary for the new year which are all bookable on the Civic Hall website here.
NHS England and vaccination service providers Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust have been working with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council to ensure vaccinations for the local population, as part of the national vaccination programme.
Over 90,000 Nuneaton and Bedworth residents have now received at least one vaccination, with the Civic Hall site providing the highest number of these.
Cllr Julian Gutteridge, portfolio holder for Health and Environment at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council commented:
“We continue to prioritise the safety of our residents and support the government objective to roll out the Covid-19 vaccination and the winter booster programme.
“The great news is that we are working towards reopening the Civic Hall as an entertainment venue in early 2022! There are loads of great acts in the diary already, so visit the website and take a look!”
