Council cuts parking charges

Published on Tuesday, 27th July 2021

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has cut car park charges to help local business and shoppers in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Parking in council car parks now costs just £1 for three hours as the local authority aims to bring people back to the borough’s shops and businesses.

Cllr Kristofer Wilson, leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said:

“Car park charges are slashed to just £1 for three hours from this Sunday, 1 August, as part of a wider scheme of measures to help our town centres.

“We are determined to do all we can to help give back to the people and traders of Nuneaton and Bedworth following the impact of this pandemic.

”Our shoppers, traders and businesses have supported our town centres through thick and thin, and I believe it is only right that during this difficult time the Council repays the help we have had so many times over the years."
