Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council announces a new COVID-19 Business Recovery Grant Scheme

New COVID-19 Business Recovery Grant scheme announced

Calling all businesses! Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has launched an exciting new £1million grant scheme aimed at supporting businesses across the borough to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Businesses that have been negatively affected by COVID-19 are able to apply for a grant of up to a maximum of £25,000 from the new Business Recovery Grant Scheme.

The Scheme provides funding to enable local businesses to implement changes and initiatives that will support their plans to invest, recover, sustain, diversify and/or grow, following the challenges experienced due to COVID-19.

Available to cover one-off costs, grants are aimed at safeguarding jobs and can be used for a variety of projects, such as investing in new equipment, installing permanent fixtures to support social distancing and developing new transactional websites to increase the customer base.

Further information along with application details is available on the Council’s website

Cllr Julie Jackson, Leader of the Council said: “We are only too aware of the many challenges our local businesses have faced and are still facing due to the pandemic, and we are focussed upon supporting businesses to recover.

“The new Business Recovery Grant scheme has been developed following feedback from the business community. It is deliberately as non-prescriptive as possible, as we recognise the need to give businesses the freedom to implement projects that are best suited to them and I would urge them to apply as soon as possible.”
