Nuneaton and Bedworth businesses hit by COVID-19 are urged to apply for grant support with several packages available

Following England entering national lockdown from 5th January 2021, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is waiting for further details of the Chancellor’s announcement about further support being made available to retail, leisure and hospitality businesses under the national lockdown.

We will look to make eligible payments as quickly as we can to all those businesses affected and who meet the criteria and full details will be added to our website at www.nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk as soon as possible.

There are several existing ways in which businesses can receive support through grants and they can claim more than one grant from the following, if they meet the criteria set for each grant.

Nuneaton and Bedworth has available on its website the following:

This is available for those businesses that were mandated to close during the period 5th November to 2nd December 2020. There are different levels of payment dependent on the Rateable Value of the property and it is a one-off payment for a 28-day period.

Additional Restrictions Support Grant- Also known as ARG.

This is a discretionary grant, with a limited budget. It is to cover up to 31st March 2022 and is for wider business support measures as well as direct business grants The policy is set by each LA and you can find Nuneaton and Bedworth policy by following the link.
