Public consultation on planning policy documents
Published on Thursday, 7th January 2021
From tomorrow, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council will be consulting on three planning policy documents, set out below. The consultations will be open from 8 January 2021 to 5 March 2021.
Health Impact Assessment Supplementary Planning Document
Supplementing Policy HS5 of the Borough Plan, this document will provide the framework for assessing health impacts from all new, major developments proposals in the Borough. It will also aid developers during planning applications for large scale developments.
Open Space and Green Infrastructure Supplementary Planning Document
This will provide guidance on the Council’s expectations for new parks and related matters. Supplementing policies NE1, NE2 and NE3 of the Borough Plan, this document will provide additional guidance in relation to open space, parks and play provision, ecology/biodiversity, trees, allotments, and green corridors. It is hoped that the SPD will also act as a resource document for developers to ensure more streamlined negotiations can be conducted and problems solved at the planning application stage.
Statement of Community Involvement
This explains how the community and other stakeholders can become involved in the planning process.
All three documents and any supporting information can be found at www.nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk/consult. Hard copies of the documents are also available for inspection at Nuneaton Town Hall, Coton Road, Nuneaton CV11 5AA, however, this is by prior appointment only on Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm and can be arranged by calling 02476 376376.
