Active Grants have reopened!

Published on Tuesday, 13th October 2020

The second round of Active Grants have reopened for sports clubs, community organisations and charities in the Borough.

This fund grants groups up to £1000 for projects designed to encourage more people to become active, promoting a healthier lifestyle whilst enjoying the benefits that this brings.

The project can be a COVID-19 response, however cannot be used to fund loss of income i.e. utility bills, maintenance costs, building rent.

Cllr Ian Lloyd, Portfolio Holder for Arts and Leisure said:

“We are delighted that Active for Life have opened a second round of the Active grants. This second round is for sports groups that have unique ideas to help others get more involved in physical activity, which will also improve their wellbeing.”

We would like to see new and innovative projects that address inactivity amongst certain groups and communities, and actively encourage more people to take part in organised sport or physical activity sessions.

The application should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete and can be found here: forms.gle/wcbZpsDGbC9gfstD6
