All-weather pitch and squash courts at Etone Leisure Centre reopen

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council are pleased to announce that the all-weather pitch and squash courts at Etone Leisure Centre have reopened this week.

A variety of measures will be put in place to ensure we are following the government guidelines whilst supporting the health and well-being of our local residents.

Simon Fearn, Everyone Active’s area manager, said:

“We have been liaising with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and we’re delighted to confirm the reopening of the all-weather pitch and squash courts at Etone Leisure Centre this week.

“Jubilee Sports Centre reopened on Monday 27 July 2020 for group exercise classes only. All other facilities at Jubilee and Etone Sports Centres will initially remain closed. This is part of a steady and phased approach to reopening, ensuring the safety of all customers and colleagues as well as consideration for local resident’s health and well-being.

“We’d like to reassure all customers that we have implemented strict measures to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our centres for when they reopen. This information can be found on the Everyone Active website and we would ask everyone to familiarise themselves with this detail prior to attending the centres.”

Cllr Ian Lloyd, Portfolio Holder for Arts and Leisure said:

“We are pleased that another facility at Etone Leisure Centre have reopened this week. Following the successful reopening of the squash facilities, it’s great that the public now have an added resource that they can use when participating in physical activity. Everyone Active are ensuring safety precautions are put in place for both staff and users, so we urge residents to please read the new measures that they are implementing on their website.”
