Rag Paper Riches (British landscapes near and far)

A Solo Exhibition by David James Kearney 8 September – 1 November 2020
Enjoy some moments of tranquillity amongst the beautiful paintings of Warwickshire based artist David James Kearney.
Depicting local scenes you will recognise as well as views from further afield in the British Isles, Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery welcomes a wonderful new collection of Kearney’s original watercolour landscapes. These current works are created using Khadi Rag Paper that elicits a nostalgic quality, inviting the viewer to drift into their memories.
Boasting 30 years combined experience as a professional artist and prolific illustrator with an extensive publishing history, Kearney takes inspiration from beautiful places and interesting sites. Expressing his joy in always looking forward to how the next painting will develop, this genuine fresh approach is evident in the uncontrived compositions and brushwork he brings to the paper.
Cllr Ian Lloyd, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture says:
‘’This exhibition is not to be missed! There’s such an array of wonderful vistas on offer, a joy to be able to see so many scenes in one place.’’
Paintings are available to purchase from £50 upwards.
