On Sunday 19 July the Nuneaton track is again hosting a competitive athletics event, managed by Nuneaton Harriers Athletics Club.
The Club this weekend will be supporting the delivery of 100m, 400m, long jump, javelin and shot put events for under 15’s and under 17’s age groups.
Sport England, UK Athletics and England Athletics will again be supporting in the planning and delivery of this event.
Cllr Ian Lloyd, Portfolio Holder for Arts and Leisure said:
“Following a successful event last Sunday for adults, we are again hosting the second competition at our Nuneaton Pingles Track venue, for juniors this weekend. It is great to see the facility being used and with the support of our partner Nuneaton Harriers Athletics Club we are keen to support “sport” back at our sites.”
Nick Wilson - Nuneaton Harriers Athletics Club, Stadium Manager said:
“We are delighted to be hosting the second athletics event which will give the public a wonderful opportunity to use the newly resurfaced Pingles track in a competition setting. Everyone was very pleased with how great last Sunday’s athletics event went so we are looking forward to this one too.
“Our partnership with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council continues to support athletics development at the track, and we look forward to working on many more future projects together.”
