NBBC flies flag in celebration of Armed Forces Day

NBBC raised the Armed Forces Day flag on Monday to mark Armed Forces week and celebrate Armed Forces Day this Saturday.
The usual Borough Armed Forces Day celebrations have unfortunately been cancelled this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic, however you can still show your support in other ways, such as posting a ‘salute’ picture on social media or flying your own bunting. Visit armedforcesday.org.uk to discover the variety of ways you can get involved.
NBBC Armed Forces Champion, Cllr Barry Longden said:
“Armed Forces Day pays tribute to our Armed Forces community, and even though the people of the Borough won’t be able to come together as they usually would to mark the day this year, we can still pay our respects in other ways.
We have a strong Armed Forces community in the Borough and this is a chance to show our support for those incredible dedicated families and individuals.”
