Markets to sell essential items only

As from today, following Government guidelines, the markets in Nuneaton and Bedworth will be open for essential items only, all other non-essential item stalls will be closed.

Essential items includes foodstuffs such as bread, cakes, meat and vegetables.

In order to reduce the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19) anyone visiting the market must stay at least 2 metres from others and follow Government guidelines on social distancing, self-isolation and hygiene, which can be found here  

Jonathan White, Head of Town Centres and Marketing said:

“We are following all Government guidelines and putting measures in place to help protect our residents and visitors to the market, while ensuring they have access to essential food items.

“We encourage everyone to follow the Government guidelines to ensure they keep themselves and their loved ones safe. I’m sure that everyone will understand the need for these measures at this time.”
