David Kearney, Small is Beautiful Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery

Published on Thursday, 8th September 2016

Many much loved books such as Nancy Drew, The Clue of the Broken Locket and The Long Corridor by Catherine Cookson were brought to life thanks to the illustrations of artist David Kearney.

Since leaving illustration behind David has worked mostly as a landscape painter, painting scenes which interest him including local settings. These works are also included and for sale in the show.

Cllr Ian Lloyd, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture said:

“Whether you’re looking to buy a locally-made painting, or see the original illustrations for your favourite books, this show has something for everyone who enjoys art and illustration.”

Remember, as with all our shows, admission is FREE and there are also our other displays to enjoy throughout the building from 24 September until 27 November 2016.

In addition to our events, activities and permanent displays there is still chance to see Julia Snowdin, Through New Eyes, on show until 9 October and Musiquest,  a hands-on exhibition by Techniquest, on until 6 November.
