Borough Plan is adopted

Nuneaton and Bedworth’s Borough Plan has been formally adopted by the Council, paving the way for economic growth and thousands of additional homes across the Borough.

  • Consultation on Borough Plan modifications extended

    NBBC is extending the consultation on the main modifications to the Borough Plan. The consultation will now remain open until Monday 3 December.

  • Consultation events for Hawkesbury development announced

    On behalf of the residents, the Borough Council has arranged two drop-in sessions in Hawkesbury, to consult on the Hawkesbury main modifications to the Borough Plan. These sessions have been arranged to give residents the chance to ask any questions they may have on the allocation of the former Hawkesbury Golf Course as a strategic housing site for 380 houses, as well as questions on the Borough Plan examination process.

  • Consultation date set for Borough Plan modifications

    On Wednesday 5 September Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council approved further main modifications to the Borough Plan, following advice from the Inspector carrying out the Plan’s examination. A consultation exercise will now follow.

  • Pressure lifted from NBBC to allocate more land for housing

    Like all other local planning authorities, NBBC must publish a monitoring report at least yearly to provide information relating to our development plan as set out in Section 113 of the Localism Act 2011.

  • Planning Inspector announces Borough Plan hearing dates

    Following the Secretary of State’s appointment of David Spencer to undertake the independent examination of Nuneaton and Bedworth’s Borough Plan, it has been confirmed that the examination hearings will commence on Wednesday 30 August 2017 at 10am.
