Miners’ Welfare Park tennis and netball court improvements and resurfacing

NBBC in partnership with Bedworth Sports Club and WCC have secured funding to undertake improvement and resurfacing works to the Miners’ Welfare Park tennis and netball courts.

    At tonight’s meeting, Cabinet approved some £708,876 of savings to the Council’s budget for the next financial year. Such drastic cuts are necessary as a result of increased demand on services and nearly a decade where the Council’s Government grant has been repeatedly slashed.

    The Borough Council has set its budget for 2017/18, putting the protection of existing services as a priority. At a meeting yesterday, Council set the spending priorities for the next year. The agreed general fund budget will be £15.2M requiring savings of £1.4M.
