Before applying for your Energy Rebate Payment, please note:
If you DO NOT have a bank account then you will not be able to complete the online application form to receive your payment. However in exceptional circumstances Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council may consider it appropriate for a payment to be made to a third party if nominated by an eligible, liable council tax payer. If you wish to have the Energy Rebate paid into another person’s bank account you can complete the applicaiton form, but we will need to do some security checks and this may delay payment.
For safety and security purposes we want to pay the Energy Rebate into a bank account. However, where this is not possible, we are in the process of procuring an alternative solution. This is not yet available. We will update the webpage when this is available, you can also follow the councils social media accounts to keep updated.
If you would like advice about opening a basic bank account you will find more information available here. Alternatively, you can contact the council’s Financial Inclusion Support Team, Email: email@example.com
Alternatively you can have the Energy Rebate paid direct to your Council Tax account, which will reduce your bill. If this is something that you would like to choose then please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request this option.
