Planning Policy consultations

We undertook consultations on the Gypsy and Traveller Site Allocations from 28 January 2022 to 25 March 2022, and the Arbury Design Code from 31 January to 28 March 2022.

Gypsy and Traveller Site Allocations Development Plan Document

The Gypsy and Traveller Site Allocations Development Plan Document consultation ran from 28 January 2022 to 25 March 2022. The document sets out a plan to provide sufficient pitches for the needs of the travelling community; to provide provision in sustainable locations with good access to local services; and to provide provision in such a way that the local environment is protected and, where appropriate, enhanced.

The following document download pages contain material relating to the consultation.

Arbury Design Code Supplementary Planning Document

The Arbury Design Code Supplementary Planning Document consultation ran from 31 January 2022 to 28 March 2022. The Arbury Design Code has been produced to establish a clear set of rules and standards that will guide development in the future whilst offering the opportunity for creativity and flexibility for designers and developers. The design code will guide the character of development and ensure high-quality proposals that meet the vision and aspirations of the local community.

The design code can be found in our document downloads section.

Other previous consultations

We consulted on several Planning Policy documents between 11 June 2021 and 6 August 2021. The documents are listed below, with links to the documents themselves.

The Town Centres Area Action Plan has since been formally withdrawn as a Development Plan Document, and it is intended that the plan will be replaced by a Town Centres Supplementary Planning Document.

All other supplementary information can be found on the Document Downloads webpage.
