50+ Activity Session

50+ Activity Sessions include a variety of low/ moderate intensity activities, including:- Archery, Short Mat Bowls, Curling, Boccia and Table Tennis. 

Abs Class

An Abs class concentrates on the muscle region surrounding the abdominal area and the lower back, to strengthen and tone that all important core. 

Baby and Me Fitness

Baby and Me Fitness sessions are for mother and baby to work out together, these sessions incorporate cardio and resistance training with your baby. These classes are great fun for your baby whilst giving you a challenging workout, Baby and Me Fitness is a great class for meeting new people and helping to improve the bonding process with mother and baby.

Bootcamp

Bootcamp is intensive circuits with attitude where you’ll build strength, speed, agility and stamina! This class will challenge you to get the most out of your exercise sessions. It is a tough circuit, but you can always work at your own pace delivered in a motivational way that will encourage you to take the next step in your fitness journey.

Buggy Circuits

Buggy Circuits is a class that incorporates walking, a range of whole body exercises and activities for mums with babies in pushchairs, Buggy circuits are designed to help tone your body from head to toe whilst bonding with your baby. They are fun, sociable, and are a great way to get back in shape post pregnancy. 

Cardiac Rehab

Cardiac rehabilitation is a programme of exercise and information sessions to help you get back on your feet again after a heart attack, heart surgery or procedure. The sessions are either gym based or circuit based sessions which include cardio vascular and light weight exercises. 

Clubbercise

Clubbercise is an energetic and upbeat dance aerobic workout where the instructors turn off all the lights and hand out glow sticks. You can burn up to 500 calories in a 60-minute session.

HIIT- High intensity interval training

HIIT is an enhanced form of interval training, an exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods.

PiYo

PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of pilates with the strength and flexibility of flowing yoga movements. You'll use your body weight to perform a series of continuous, targeted moves to define every single muscle—big and small.

Pre and Post Natal Stability Ball

Classes are based around the use of an exercise ball and hand weights. Classes have a particular focus on core stability and pelvic floor training. Pre and Post Natal Stability classes are designed to help prepare your body for the demands of labour, and are adapted to suit post-natal ladies regain their core strength and pelvic floor conditioning. 

Pre and Post Natal Supple Strength – Pilates

Blending elements of Pilates, Yoga and Body Conditioning, Supple Strength classes are challenging non-impact workouts which build strength and flexibility through a focus on posture, core stability and body alignment. Pre and Post Natal Supple strength is a great way to help prepare your body for the demands of labour but will also help you regain your fitness post pregnancy. 

Post Natal Kettlebells

Post Natal Kettlebells is a great class to help strengthen your whole body especially the core. This class helps to reduce depression and anxiety, increases muscle tone, strength and endurance. 

Respiratory Rehab

Respiratory Rehabilitation is a programme of exercise and information sessions to help improve the quality of your health the rehabilitation sessions are either gym based or circuit based sessions which include cardio vascular and light weight exercises. 

Running Group

A structured session that teaches you efficient and effective techniques to help improve your running style. This session is for beginner – intermediate runners with exit routes to the local Harriers sessions.

Seated Exercise Class

This class includes light chair based aerobics, dance and weights sessions, utilising various items of equipment for all abilities and ages to help improve co-ordination, balance, stamina, physical & mental wellbeing. 

Short Mat Bowls

Short mat bowls is an indoor sport in which players attempt to score points by rolling a bowl along a fairly flat surface, to gain as many points as possible by getting their bowls nearer to the jack than their opponents, and so outscore them. The game is a modern variation on lawn bowls, from which the game is derived.

Squash Fit

Squash Fit is a high energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of Squash with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout.

Tai chi

Tai Chi is an innovative, dynamic and motivating mind and body fitness class, these classes help improve coordination, balance, suppleness and flexibility, muscle strength, posture, and reduces stress and anxiety. 

Walking Football

Walking Football is designed to help people keep an active lifestyle despite their age, as well as getting those back playing football who had to stop due to injuries. As the name suggests, Walking Football is non-contact and anyone that sprints, runs or jogs while the ball is in play will be penalised with a free-kick awarded to the other team.

Zumba

Zumba is a dance fitness programme which incorporates Latin and International music to create a fun and effective workout.
